I just spent 30 seconds pressing my power button on my TV control. It just wouldn’t turn off. I had it on every angle, side, and way it could be pointed but still it didn’t turn off. I then checked to make sure it was on TV and not dvd. It was. Finally just by sheer chance, I turned it over. Guess what? The batteries weren’t completely in, hanging out a little and not touching the contacts on the remote. When you are believing God for something, whether it be healing, finances, breaking a bad habit, make sure your spiritual batteries are connected to God. Make sure you’re not trying to do it by yourself without staying plugged in to where the power is coming from. God doesn’t work immediately a lot of times, but as long as you keep your batteries in His remote, that thing you’re believing for will come. Your batteries can become disconnected by sin, not forgiving someone, not obeying God in something He told you to do, laziness, not being a good steward over what He has given you. But before you start reinventing the wheel and undoing every screw and bolt, check to make sure you haven’t become lazy in your time with Him and His Word. Usually its just a minor adjustment that needs to be made, not an engine overhaul. God works with us where we are, not according to being perfect. He’s doing everything He can to bless you. Believe it or not He wants to bless you more than you want to be blessed…..
